An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a portable, life-saving device used to help people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
SCA happens when the heart suddenly stops beating effectively, often due to a ventricular arrhythmia (like ventricular fibrillation). Without quick treatment, it can lead to death within minutes.
